Tattoo Removal

Laser tattoo removal is designed to gradually fade or lighten unwanted tattoo ink over a series of treatments. At Parlour, tattoo removal is performed using the Zenith Excelsior laser, which delivers focused laser energy to target tattoo pigment beneath the skin.

The laser works by breaking the ink particles into smaller fragments, which the body can then naturally process and clear over time. This treatment can be used for tattoos you no longer want, tattoos that have faded unevenly, or tattoos that need lightening before a cover-up.

Results vary depending on the size, age, depth, colour and density of the tattoo, as well as your skin type, immune response and treatment plan. Complete removal is not always possible, so the focus is on safe, gradual fading and realistic outcomes.

Every tattoo removal journey at Parlour begins with a consultation to assess your tattoo, discuss your goals, check suitability and explain what to expect before treatment begins.

FAQs

  • Most tattoos need multiple sessions. The number depends on the tattoo’s size, colour, age, depth, location and ink density. Tattoo removal often requires several treatments spaced around 6–8 weeks apart, and complete clearance is not always possible

  • Laser tattoo removal can feel hot, sharp or like a rubber band snapping against the skin. Most people find it manageable, and smaller tattoos are usually very quick to treat. Parlour uses a cool air blower to help minimise discomfort during treatment.

  • Different ink colours respond differently because they absorb different laser wavelengths. Black and red are generally easiest to treat, while colours such as green, blue and yellow can be more difficult. White, flesh-coloured and some cosmetic tattoo pigments can be more unpredictable and may darken with laser treatment.

  • Yes. Laser treatment can be used to fade or soften existing tattoo ink so your tattoo artist has more flexibility for a cover-up design. This may require fewer sessions than full removal, depending on the amount of fading needed.

  • Start with a consultation. We’ll assess the tattoo, discuss your goal - fading, lightening or removal - and recommend a treatment plan based on your tattoo and skin.
