Onychomycosis (Fungal Nail) Laser Treatment
Fungal nail concerns can cause the nail to become discoloured, thickened, brittle, crumbly or distorted in appearance. They can affect one or multiple nails and may become more persistent over time.
At Parlour, laser treatment can be used as part of a management approach for fungal nail concerns, with the aim of targeting the affected nail and supporting the growth of a clearer, healthier-looking nail over time.
Best suited for:
Discoloured or yellowing nails
Thickened nails
Brittle or crumbly nails
Nails with a confirmed or suspected fungal involvement
What to expect
Laser energy is delivered through the nail plate and into the affected area. Treatment is designed to heat the nail and surrounding tissue in a controlled way, while keeping the procedure comfortable and targeted.
Because nails grow slowly, visible improvement is gradual and is seen as healthier-looking nail grows through. Multiple treatments may be recommended depending on the severity of the concern, how many nails are affected and individual response.
Good nail hygiene and appropriate home care are also important throughout the treatment process to help reduce the risk of recurrence.
A consultation is recommended before treatment, particularly if the diagnosis is unclear, as not all thickened or discoloured nails are caused by fungal infection.
